Make a little room

Choose one small surface: the corner of a desk, a shelf, or a bedside table. Move everything off it and put back only what you use or enjoy seeing.

Give everyday objects a place that matches how you actually live. A bowl by the door may help more than a complicated storage system.

Leave some of the surface empty. Empty space is useful: it is somewhere to open a book, set down a cup, or begin a piece of work.

You do not have to finish a whole room. One useful corner is already a change.
